How the Flower-Filled Dior Couture Set was made

Over a million flowers covered the mansion in Paris where Raf Simons staged his couture debut for Christian Dior this month, and the process took several days — plus a team of florists, truck drivers, and set designers — to pull off. Workers started cutting and packaging the flowers three days before the show, then began a two-day installation process that took all weekend. By the time Diane von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, and Azzedine Alaia arrived for the show on Monday, July 2, five rooms had been covered with delphinium, orchids, zinnia, golden rods, Queen Anne's lace, and roses in a variety of colors.

Andrej Pejic is filming a Reality TV Show!

The always-entertaining, gender-bending male model Andrej Pejic has finally landed himself a reality TV show, Frockwriter is reporting.
Sources close to Pejic told Aussi journo Patty Huntington (aka Frockwriter) that Pejic signed on to do a reality TV show back in February, but for various reasons production was delayed and the show didn’t start shooting until recently. Apparently, production is currently underway in NYC, and the show will follow Pejic as he embarks on various job assignments.

Even more exciting, Pejic’s mother Jadranka Savic is also said to star on the new show. We seriously cannot wait to get to know the woman who brought the hilarious, braznely tongue-in-cheek and throughly unique dude into this world.
Pejic is a no-brainer when it comes to reality TV show casting, and with his career at a peak, the timing is perfect. What’s more, Pejic has in the past asked his Twitter followers if he should agree to do a reality TV show, saying last year, “Should I do a reality tv show? I mean what would I have…to say.” Needless to say, the answer to that question seems to have been answered. A spokesperson for DNA Models, Pejic’s NYC agency, confirmed that the male supermodel is in fact taping a reality TV show. “It’s still in the early stages, but yes, there is a show being developed around Andrej.”

Heidi Slimane changes name YSL to SLP

It's an iconic logo that's been around for more than half a century, but now YSL's interlocking initial stamp is set to change.
Under the new directorship of Hedi Slimane the Yves Saint Laurent ready-to-wear collection will be re-branded as Saint Laurent Paris (SLP).
And although the famous signature will remain unaltered on handbags, lipsticks and shoes, there is no certainty that it will continue to be used as widely.
It is yet another alteration that has occurred since the French creative director took over in March.

Gossip Girl front woman Blake Lively is known for her high-fashion style (both on set and off). So it's no surprise that the Gucci team has selected the young actress to represent its new couture fragrance, Gucci Première. "She is a girl of extraordinary beauty and she's a girl who loves fashion," Gucci creative director Frida Giannini told WWD. "Although she's young, she's also very determined, and I liked this spirit.…She knows how to be a diva in the right sense, with an aspirational glamour."
Gucci Première hits counters this September in the States (and next month in the UK).
